The People who lived under the Sea is a visual interpretation to the First Nation myth, Nanasimgit and Killer Whale, taking the viewers on a mythical underwater adventure. The film incorporates a multi-disciplinary approach combining Flash, hand-drawn and paint-on-glass animation techniques together into one effective narrative. In the spring of 2007, The People who lived under the Sea took home the Best Student Animation at the 2007 Smogdance Film Festival, a great accomplishment for all the sleepless nights and bloodshot eyes during the eight solid months of production.

Tales from Cozy Cabin, In the beginning is a short pilot or pitch film, the first episode in a 6 episode series. It is written, performed and directed by Terry Mynott, a comedian / writer from England, and animated by Steven Lalonde. Each episode is an inventive, visual journey inside the creative minds of various celebrities and this first episode features the talented Christopher Walken.

This little piece of fun was created at the Vacuum which was shown at the 2008 Pitchfork Music Festival. This 15 second bumper sure helped attract some desired attention for 2K Sports, which was one of the sponsors for the festival.

This Flash animated music video was created at the University of Lethbridge way back in 2003. It won Best Honorable Mention at the 17th Annual National Student Film and Video Fesitval in Regina, Saskatchewan. The short film was illustrated and animated in Flash to the song Cows with Guns by Dana Lyons.

This 30 second Film Festival Bumper was conceived, designed and directed by Digitaria. The Vacuum helped out with 2D Flash rotoscope animation (Steven Lalonde), 3D animation (Nate Smith) and video compositing. This was a fun project to work on and, in my eyes, was a complete success.

This short flash game was designed for Extreme Makeover Home Edition and was aired on TV in October of 2008.It was made for a small boy, Job McCully, who is fighting everyday with Leukemia. It is an interactive game that was edited throughout the show to simulate Job destroying his house with pirates, a bulldozer and an excavator. It was a real hit, (no pun intended) and a great project to work on for such a great cause.

I participated in an animation test, just for kicks, created by Stephen M. Levinson. It was posted on Cold Hard Flash for anyone willing to give it a try. Character design and sound were provided by Stephen M Levinson, while Flash animation and background design was done by Steven Lalonde.

This short Flash animation won 2nd place for Strut Your Reel's monthly character animation contest, August 2007.

This short Flash animated sequence was supposed to be apart of the Los Angeles Animation Festival in October 2007, until the Leather Hands aspect of the festival got cancelled. The rules to the contest were to use the Leather Hands Logo in a creative way, so here is what I came up with.
