This has truly been one of the funnest projects to work on. It was great working again with Nichola Lytle of Pink Dog Designs you handled all the design and illustration, as well as Aaron Fay of WildHorse Media who took care of the Flash programming. We made a fantastic team which created a super fun, original and creative avatar building application. The client, Gemcom Software International Inc, was also great to work with. Thanks for letting us be creative and working on such a fun project for your company!

We teamed up with Atlanta based Pogo Active to create this fun interactive microsite for SweetWater Beer, an ultra-cool microbrewery known for their tasty beer and laid back atmosphere. Grab a SweetWater Beer, relax and enjoy the show with survival expert Alpine Jack.
Two more Pixel Award Nominee’s, no big deal!! Lalo Co Animation provided flash animation on both sites for the Vacuum. Please help in voting for these sites!!
The Test Tube with David Suzuki for the NFB has won a FWA and was featured on October 5, 2010!! Right on!! The Vaccum contacted Lalo Co Animation to help with the bacteria animations as well as the ending screen transitions.
Well hot dog, what an exciting accomplishment! Lalo Co Animation won New Entrepreneur of the Year at the 2010 Chamber Business Excellence Awards in our local community.
Castlegar is small town full of excitement, an ideal place to live or visit. The scenic and picturesque mountain views, friendly people and community spirit make it a prime area to raise your family and establish great friendships.
The Castlegar and District Chamber of Commerce is a non-profit organization which helps promote business opportunities and tourism in the community. Working with the Castlegar Chamber has been a very positive and rewarding experience. The employees of the Chamber are professional, passionate and extremely dedicated to the community.
Being awarded the contract to redesign and redevelopment the Castlegar Chamber website was not an easy process. A detailed proposal explaining the design concept and functionality of the new website was submitted. We then were short-listed to three companies and were required to present our proposal material to the Castlegar Chamber Board Committee. If the proposal material and functionality ideas didn’t sell ourselves, dressing up in classy suites and walking out to The Eye of the Tiger sure did.
Being awarded the contract was a huge accomplishment. Not only did it raise our self confidence, it also projected Lalo Co Animation as a professional creative studio in the local community. The timing of the contract was extremely beneficial as we were a relatively new start-up and the redesign and redevelopment of the Castlegar Chamber website helped to increased our exposure in the area.
The website project was a huge under-taking, however we were ready for the challenge. After our design concept was approved, implementing all the functionality required seemed like an endless task. We ended up pulling it off and officially launched the site in October of 2009. Some functionality items that we integrated into the Castlegar Chamber website include:
- Home page blog
- Business Directory, featured listings, keyword search and AJAX implementation
- Photo Gallery
- Bhubble Event Calender
- Community and Tourism static pages
- Rotating banner ads
- Invest Kootenay integration
- Members-only area featuring benefits, chamber chat, member polls, press releases and on-line ecommerce payment via paypal.
